Both JV and Varsity fell to Hinsdale Central in close hockey games last night  at the Bobby Hull Community Ice Rink in Cicero during our annual Winter Classic. Former Blackhawk Peter Marsh was on hand for the ceremonial puck drop to start the Varsity contest. Despite over 40 saves by Brian Roberts and two goals from Trevor Zagara and two assists by Logan Fennema, Varsity lost to Hinsdale Central 3-2. 

JV and Hinsdale Central were tied at 2 at the end of regulation, with a goal and assist each from Peter Elser and CJ Kruger. Unfortunately JV fell in the shootout with their lone shootout goal scored by Kenny Grodsky.  

Despite the outcomes of the games, it was a great snowy night in Cicero, making for great hockey atmosphere.
